The articles "Is Google Making Us Stupid" and "Is Stupid Making Us Google", both authors believe that our easy access to technology and search engines, specifically Google, have made this generation lose work ethic. Carr argues that this generation has lost value for actual textbooks and has become lazy due to the easy access of knowledge by simply typing in a few key words. Because we are so used to just typing in a few words and getting all the information we need, Carr states that this has made this generation lazy and unable to sit down and actually read through an entire text. Bowman argues that while there is a lot more laziness when it comes to research, it is not the generations fault, but rather the instructors or teachers fault. The teachers are allowing this generation to use Google and find this research so easily.
