As I began reading the article "Is Google Making us Stupid" by Nicholas Carr, I felt what he was describing in the beginning of the article. I can definitaly relate to a lack of concentration while reading a lengthy artilce and my mind wondering, often forcing me to read an article several times before it finally sinks in. He goes on to say how much harder the older generations had it, and all we have to do is type it into a browser to get an answer. The older generations sometimes had to spend hours when looking for an answer. I strongly agree with this point. We hardly have to use our brain to do research on a topic. What took the generations before us hours, we can do in seconds.
In the second article "Is Stupid Making us Google" by James Bowman had some very similar points. He goes on to say how the younger generation when looking up homework online, we essentially just transfer it from the internet to the paper. We really don't think about what we're reading and ponder on how that is the answer, we just write that down because thats what the internet says. I can not say I haven't done this before.
